The Helping Hands project is Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from the Horace Mann School for the Deaf working to produce items that Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists from accross the city can use with their clients.

Slant boards, scooter boards, and incline blocks were designed and constructed by the students, integrating Math, Computers and Woodworking into a unit that emphasizes teamwork and cooperation, project-based learning, and helps students develop an understanding and empathy for students with other physical disabilities.
