With Our Own Two Hands
[I] could probably
do a lot of things with my own two hands. I can show people that, past
skin color, we are much more alike than we are different. That sometimes
I feel I am a 62 year old woman who has seen and done things one can't
imagine in a 18 year old young body. I can raise a child with my own two
hands. I'm an activist fighting for humanity and what is right. I can
teach a class on ethics with my own two hands. I can sew clothes with
my own hands. I can give people hope with my own two hands. I can brighten
people's day with my own two hands. Praise Allah with my own two hands
by going to mosque and praying 5 times a day. I can braid hair with my
own two hands. Write poetry and write songs with own two hands. I can
draw and create drawings [with] my own two hands. I can give the world
hope. It wouldn't
be possible to do a lot of thing,s but you can get a lot of things done
with your own two hands. I'll be the one, like everyone else, to try and
clean up the neighborhood. I would be more joyful doing it. I could open
a book to young children and read it to them. I could help the elderly
with their problems. In fact, I could catch a football with my own hands
naturally. I can go to church and put my hands up to God for my blessing
from him. I can do many
things with my own two hands. I can try to fix the world and make it a
better place like the guy in the song [Ben Harper] said. I would build
a house for my grandmother with my own two hands. I would try to guide
kids in the right direction so they won't make mistakes in life. I would
make my family a better family with my own two hands. I would give someone
a hug with my own two hands. |
